Consolidated Cooperative Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Seasoned Financial Executive Terilyn Wallis Joins Consolidated Cooperative

Mount Gilead, OH. – December 17, 2018 – Consolidated Cooperative has appointed Terilyn K. Wallis as the organization’s new Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to founding her own consultancy, Terilyn Wallis Consulting in Dresser, Wisconsin, Wallis was Regional Vice President of the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation in Dulles, Virginia.  Before that, she was Director of Finance for the St. Croix Regional Medical Center in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. She also served as Chief Financial Officer for Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative in Centuria, Wisconsin, a 20,000-member cooperative—a position she held from 1997 to 2011.

“I couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Teri to the Consolidated family,” said Phil Caskey, President and CEO. “She has the proven accounting and financial expertise that our co-op needs to lead it into a successful and solvent future,” he said, adding that he is extremely impressed with her comprehensive understanding of the electric cooperative industry and her outstanding ability to communicate effectively with all audiences.

Wallis said that it is exciting to be a part of the Consolidated team. “Consolidated is improving the quality of lives in the communities we serve. Not only are we providing electric service and natural and propane gas to members, but we’re changing lives in profound ways by bringing access to broadband internet to our area of rural Ohio. Cooperatives effect positive change in their communities, and that is what energizes me most,” she said. Wallis added that using her experiences and broad knowledge of the industry, she will balance the financial growth of the cooperative with the needs of its members.

In addition to an MBA degree, Wallis is nearing completion of a doctorate in adult education. She also lectures nationally on various topics related to cooperatives.

Away from work, Wallis and her husband, Mike, enjoy spectating the activities and events of her two children, spending time with family, working with their dogs, and enjoying the outdoors. She is a 4-H club and county leader, volunteer, and certified fair judge.
