Paper bills are easily misplaced at home and can be delayed while going through the postal system, putting you at risk of making a late payment. Our electronic bills arrive in your email inbox and on your Consolidated SmartHub account the moment they become available.
Paper bills also cost money to send, while electronic bills are free. As of the beginning of October, the members who are on Paperless Billing save our cooperative over $56,000 a year. Those savings help keep our rates down and add to the funds we return to our members through Capital Credits each year.
Over the next few months, we are running a special campaign to celebrate our members who eliminate their paper bills. From now through March, 2024:
- Each member who switches to Paperless Billing will get a one-time $5 bill credit on their account.
- Each member on Paperless Billing will be entered into a monthly drawing for a $100 bill credit.
- For every 100 members who switch to Paperless Billing, we will plant a tree in our service territory!
